Our History
In 1959, Samuel and Miriam Tepp founded The Samuel Tepp Company, Inc. in the basement of their Metuchen, New Jersey home. It was there that they became Manufacturer's Representatives. In 1965, Barry Tepp joined the firm after completing a tour of service with the armed forces and earning a Business Degree from Penn State University. The business outgrew its humble beginnings and moved to an office in Metuchen. When Sam passed away in 1968, Barry entered into a partnership with Vincent Hawkins which lasted nearly 30 years. They attributed their success to a business based on trust, honesty, and loyalty to their customers and manufacturers. As the company's product offerings expanded, it was decided that a warehouse was needed to meet our customer's needs and the company was moved to its present location at 11 Leonard Street. In 1995 Vinny retired leaving Barry Tepp as the sole owner of the Company. In 2007 Barry retired and Paul Cenci and Brian England who were longtime employees purchased the assets of The Samuel Tepp Company. Samuel Tepp Associates was born with Paul, Brian, and the rest of Samuel Tepp Associates continuing the tradition of quality products, excellent service and the integrity and experience to ensure your project is successful.

Principal
Paul Cenci P.E.
Paul Cenci is one of the partner owners of Samuel Tepp Associates, LLC. After graduating from Pratt Institute in 1986 Paul's engineering career began at Gibbs and Cox, Marine Architects and Naval Engineers. He worked on the HVAC system design for the USS Arleigh Burke DDG-51, first of the Aegis Class Destroyers. In 1988 Paul joined Plasse Industrial, the first Greenheck Representative in New York, working with Herman Plasse. In 1990 he joined Air Distribution Enterprises in New York. Paul obtained his New York P.E. license in 1998 and joined Samuel Tepp not long after. He has extensive experience in HVAC system design, industrial fan construction and acoustics. Paul continues to provide technical assistance and training for building owners and consulting engineers, as well as provide direct customer sales support.

Brian England
Brian England is one of the partner owners of Samuel Tepp Associates, LLC. Brian's engineering career started in United States Naval Nuclear Power with formal education including fluid dynamics, heat transfer, materials, reactor principles and electrical theory. He served aboard the submarine USS Florida SSBN-728, as well as at Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, NY. He was a certified classroom instructor for prospective naval nuclear power plant operators, and for continuing education and training for all certified staff instructors. After leaving the U.S. Navy in 1997 he worked for the United McGill Corporation until joining Samuel Tepp in early 2000. He has extensive experience with mechanical systems, fluid/air flow and acoustics. Brian continues to provide technical assistance and training for building owners and consulting engineers, gas monitoring design as well as direct customer sales support.
Engineering services
Keith Miller
Keith Miller's engineering career spans 50 years in the jet engine and HVAC industries. He started as a jet engine performance engineer, developing test methods and analyzing results for experimental and production military and commercial engines. His activity in the HVAC industry over the last 45 years included 26 years as the president of a design/build/service mechanical contracting firm specializing in medical and industrial testing laboratories, industrial facilities, and data centers. Keith now provides advisory services in the HVAC industry in the areas of mechanical equipment selection, air distribution design and evaluation of problem air and water systems. He also conducts educational seminars at consulting engineering offices on the selection, application and control of air moving and air distribution equipment. The seminars review methods to assess and improve under performing systems and are approved for Professional Engineer continuing education requirements in several states.
Outside sales
Mark Hoxit
Mark started with Samuel Tepp in 1998 after leaving the United States Air Force. He created the first Samuel Tepp website over 20 years ago, generated our inventory management process and is our resident factory software expert. He has 20 years of hands-on experience with air distribution products, and provides customer sales support and technical assistance for plan/spec, design/build, and renovation projects throughout New Jersey.

Tony Musarra
Tony has worked in the HVAC Industry for over 24 years joining Samuel Tepp in 2017. He started with Construction Specialties in 1994 working in their louver department. In 1999 he moved to outside sales and has worked for several representative firms. With an appreciation for integrity and customer service he provides sales support and technical assistance for both long time and new customers in the New Jersey market.
OUTSIDE SALES
Nicholas Cenci
Nick is a certified auto mechanic and an NJIT mechanical engineering student. Nick has been at Samuel Tepp for over five years assisting with gas monitoring system startups and maintenance, VFD startups, field assistance and direct customer sales support.
INSIDE sales
Clay Hollender
Clay has worked in the HVAC Industry for over 20 years and has experience with many major air distribution companies. Looking for a positive environment Clay joined Samuel Tepp in 2016 to assist with inside sales support, estimating and project support for our customers. He brings extensive industry knowledge of our territory and customer needs.
Accounting
Agnes Wiszenko
Agnes joined Samuel Tepp in 2018 to provide bookkeeping support. She brings extensive experience in accounting having previously worked for the Morgans Hotel Group and the London Hotel NYC.
Webmaster
Matty England
Matty joined Samuel Tepp in 2018 to update and rework the website to better suit the needs of the company. They graduated in 2020 with a degree in Professional Writing from Kutztown University.
